Who:
This school is for anyone with a IJSBA Membership. Ski, Sport or
Runabout -
Never raced, Novice, Expert or Pro - Closed Course, Endurance or
Slalom. You will gain knowledge through your instructor(s) Don Morningstar & company. Most
students who have attended have contributed to the program in
there own way. Riders such as Ken Mc
Lanahan, Matt Gurrolla & Dale Gray had much to offer from their
tour experiences at the last school covering preparation for
the world finals.
For 1998 Pro Riders Eric Malone, Chris Maros have expressed their interest
to assist in the school.
What:
My #1 focus is to stress the importance in keeping the “fun factor” top priority.
My continued success in racing at age 42 years young in the pro
ski division is based on that belief. Other topics have included:
Nutrition, starts, passing, cold weather riding, sponsorship and
so on......
When:
What’s good for you. During 1997 when the idea first came to
me I targeted the
World Qualifier's put on By local race Promoters. Since I would
be there anyway
setting up the course, administering the riders meeting,
announcing, etc. & the fact
there was only one class I could enter (due to Pro status) there
would be some free time. It worked then, should work again. In
addition I would like to here from other
promoters/clubs, etc. who may be interested in the school.
Where:
Select IJSBA Closed Course & Endurance Events & stand alone schools.
Why:
What better way to put back into the sport, some of what it has
given me. Did I
mention the “fun factor”.
How Much: The cost of
the course is free.
